The White Swan Award Program's purpose is to award those websites that can pass our criteria, showing they have put a lot of hard work into their sites. We wish to recognize those webmasters who really care that their sites provide quality to the Internet. This is not a give away award. The webmasters who apply for our award must have built their sites with great care given to detail and are able to pass our criteria, which will show they deserve the recognition of this program. Not every applicant will win our award.
Our evaluation of each site will be done ethically and thoroughly, no stone will be left unturned. It is our goal to encourage and help all who apply for our award, whether they win or not. Feedback will be given, if requested. It is our hope that webmasters, needing help with their sites, visit and/or join the many great forums on the Internet which are a good place to gain site building knowledge. The White Swan Award Program recommends these forums and have several of the very best listed in our resource area. While visiting our resource area you will also find a listing of several of the finest award programs on the net today and our Adopt Awards program.
Please take the time to completely read all our posted criteria. The criteria is set down, very clearly, stating what we look for in a site to be a winner of our award. Our award is definitely not easy to win so make sure your site is ready to be reviewed before you apply.
Before applying go through each line of our criteria and make sure your site has each item posted. Check out our Self Test page and go through each listed item then, if you feel ready, apply for our award.
Reading the criteria of an award program is the most important part of applying for awards. By reading the criteria, meeting it or exceeding it, is the way to win awards. Please do not blame any award program if you fail to fully read their criteria and do not win their award. It is your personal responsibility to understand what is needed to be able to score enough points to win!
